Entries are open for this year’s Seahorse swim which once again is being organised by East Dorset Open Water SC.   Distance is 3.8KM with both westsuit and traditional non-wetsuit categories.   You can enter here.

A beautiful sunny morning at 9am August 10th 18 swimmers left the beach at Sandsfoot/castle cove beach accompanied by their own kayaker to escort them across Portland harbour to finish at the slipway at osprey leisure centre. Conditions were perfect with a slight breeze.

We would like to run as a non-wetsuited swim but depending on interest from the ‘traditional‘ swimmers we may well open to wetsuit swimmers. So if you are interested please express an interest ASAP. Entry forms and details of the ASA South West Open Water Championships (29th/30th June) and the Dorset ASA Open Water 1500m competition (13th July)  have been added to the Event Calendar.

The dates for these local open water swims have been announced are available on the Event Calendar.

Details of this year’s swim series can be found at swimseries.humanrace.co.uk/home. They’ve already had one race at Poole but there’s another at the same location on the 16th September.

The ASA SW Open Water Championships have moved to Bristol this year because of the Olympics at Weymouth. It is now only a one day event and the distances have changed i.e there isn’t a 10km race. See below for more information.  Entry forms also available via the Event Calendar.
